General Settings
- Theme: Choose between Light, Dark, or System (follows your OS theme).
- Start with OS: Toggle On to launch Rephlo automatically when you log in to your computer.
- Minimize to tray: When enabled, closing or minimizing the main window sends Rephlo to the system tray instead of the taskbar.
- Minimize on capture: When enabled, the main Rephlo window automatically minimizes when you initiate a screenshot capture. This is especially useful on macOS where the main window might otherwise overlap the capture area.
- Landing page: Select which screen Rephlo shows when you open the app (Dashboard, Commands, Chat, History, etc.).
Context Menu Behavior
These settings control how the command overlay appears and what it displays:
- Show clipboard preview: When enabled, a ClipboardPreviewDialog appears before running a command, letting you review the captured text and confirm before execution.
- Display preset: Controls how much information is shown in the overlay. Choose from:
- Minimal -- Command names only
- Compact -- Names with brief descriptions
- Balanced -- Names, descriptions, and group labels (default)
- Full -- All details including execution mode and token estimates
- Max favorites shown: How many of your favorite commands appear in the overlay (e.g., 5).
- Max other commands shown: How many non-favorite commands appear below the favorites (e.g., 10).
Default Space Token Budget
A slider that sets the default token limit for newly created Spaces. This determines how much document content a new Space can hold before compaction is needed. You can adjust the budget for individual Spaces later.
Hotkeys
Global Hotkeys allow you to trigger Rephlo from anywhere on your desktop.
- Context Menu (Command Overlay): Opens the command overlay with your selected text.
- Screenshot Capture: Captures a screen region for Vision commands.
Default hotkeys differ by platform:
| Action | macOS | Windows / Linux |
|---|---|---|
| Context Menu Overlay | Shift+Cmd+C | Ctrl+Shift+Alt+C |
| Screenshot Capture | Shift+Cmd+S | Ctrl+Shift+Alt+S |
Note: These key combinations are specifically chosen to avoid conflicts with common system shortcuts. All hotkeys are fully customizable.

Text Selection Trigger
The Text Selection Trigger lets you open the command overlay by drag-selecting text while holding a modifier key. This provides a faster alternative to using the global hotkey:
- Hold down the configured modifier key (default: Cmd on macOS, Ctrl on Windows/Linux).
- Click and drag to select text in any application.
- Release the mouse button -- the command overlay appears automatically with the selected text.
You can change the modifier key to any of: Cmd, Ctrl, Alt, or Shift (labels adapt to your platform).
Test Overlay
Click the Test Overlay button to open the command overlay without needing to select text. This is useful for verifying your hotkey and overlay configuration are working correctly.
Privacy
- History Retention: Choose how long to keep command execution history.
- Forever -- Keep all history indefinitely
- 90 Days -- Auto-delete entries older than 90 days
- 30 Days -- Auto-delete entries older than 30 days
- Immediate -- Do not save history at all
- Export data: Download your stored data.
- Clear history: Delete all history entries immediately.
Note: The explanatory text in this tab adjusts depending on whether you are using login mode (Dedicated API) or BYOK mode, reflecting how your data is handled in each case.
