Perpetual License
Prefer to own Rephlo outright instead of subscribing? The Perpetual License is a one-time purchase that gives you lifetime access to the desktop app — no monthly bill. It's a great fit if you bring your own LLM provider keys or run on-device models, since it doesn't include Rephlo's hosted monthly credits.
What you get
A perpetual license is a single, one-time purchase that includes:
- Lifetime access to the Rephlo desktop app.
- On-device and offline mode — run local models without an internet connection.
- Up to 3 device activations, so you can use Rephlo across your computers.
- Community support.
What it does not include:
- Recurring monthly credits. A perpetual license is for the app itself. You connect your own provider API keys (BYOK) or use free on-device models such as Ollama for the AI. See Providers.

How to buy
- Open the perpetual license purchase page (linked from the pricing page).
- Optionally add the annual renewal for ongoing updates and priority support (see below).
- Complete the secure Stripe Checkout — it's a one-time charge.
- You'll receive an email with your license key and activation instructions.
You can also buy a perpetual license as a gift by entering the recipient's email at checkout — they'll get the key and instructions by email.
Activating your devices
Your license covers up to 3 device activations. Enter your license key in the desktop app to activate a machine. If you replace a computer or run out of activation slots, deactivate an old device to free a slot for a new one. You can review your license status and activations from the desktop app's license/settings screen.
Optional renewal (updates & priority support)
The base license is yours for life, but software keeps improving. The optional annual renewal add-on keeps you receiving continuous updates and priority support. You can:
- Add it at checkout when you buy, or
- Add or extend it later at rephlo.app/renew using just your license key — no account required.
Renewal is entirely optional; your app keeps working without it. For renewal pricing, see the pricing page.
Recovering a lost license key
Misplaced your key? You can have it re-sent:
- Go to the license recovery page (linked from the perpetual license pages).
- Enter the email address you used to purchase.
- We instantly resend your key to that email if a license is registered to it.
No sign-in is needed — recovery works entirely by email, using the address from your original checkout.

A perpetual license and a subscription are separate products — for example, trial credits or subscription credits don't carry over to a perpetual purchase.
